Our Doorway Solutions division works exclusively with end user and wholesale customers. This market requires a different level of expertise and service capability and Doorway Solutions® was created with that in mind. Now, taking that even further, we have spun off the Doorways Solutions portion of our web site to its own space with content tailored to their customers. Take a look!

Colorado Doorways Featured Project, October 2005- El Paso County Jail

Two years in the making, this project was completed this spring giving El Paso County an additional 864 beds to accomodate their growing inmate population. Highlighted by a round, three floor housing tower, this is not your typical detention facility. The circular design is not merely ornamental - it serves a serious purpose. The roundness allows guards to monitor four different dayrooms all at once. Further, by not having any sharp corners, inmates cannot hide thus providing unimpeded line of sight.

The El Paso County project included the remodel of administration, intake, medical, kitchen, excercise and existing housing units all while the existing facility remained fully operational and secure. This made it very complicated requiring over 30 separate phases to the construction all while maintaining safety and security throughout the construction.
