Our Doorway Solutions division works exclusively with end user and wholesale customers. This market requires a different level of expertise and service capability and Doorway Solutions® was created with that in mind. Colorado Doorways Featured Project, May 2006 - Colorado Springs Utilities Environmental Services Lab

The 48,800-sq-ft, LEED certified laboratory is an example of architecture that integrates susatainability and meaningful design elements to create a healthy, pleasant workspace. Natural daylighting spills into a three-story light well that runs half the length of the 300-ft long axis.

The interior design is as a metaphor for water purity. Symbols are incorporated throughout the interiors and fishes. Stacked patterns in teh flooring tiles emulate aquifers; curved walls and glazing finishes replicate water flow; metal grillwork in the handrails represent filtration processes.

the facility unites operations that took place at two seperate sites, removing duplicate functions, simplifying operations and reducing overhead. Energy and water conservation measures will save Springs Utilities and its customers nearly $50,000 per year.

When Colorado Springs sought to build this unique facility. Colorado Doorways was the door and hardware supplier of choice.
