Colorado Doorways Featured Project, December 2006 - St. Francis Medical Center

St. Francis Medical CenterThe new St. Francis Medical Center Campus will be a state-of-the-art, 158-bed tertiary medical center offering facilities and services to meet all medical needs of the Colorado Springs Community far into the future. The campus is designed to improve superior quality care and to improve quality of life for patients, physicians and staff.

The campus is characterized by numerous partnering ventures between the hospital and the medical community. To this end, the campus includes 120,000 sq ft of medical office space and 60,000 sq ft of freestanding ambulatory services space. The Medical Center Tower is 350,000 sq. ft, the Ambulatory Services Building and Physician Offices is 100,000 sq ft and the Freestanding Physician Office Building is 80,000 sq ft.

The St. Francis Medical Center is a huge project and will bring first class medical care to area residents. Colorado Doorways is pleased to supply the doors, frames and architectural hardware for this extraordinary project.

Ives Announces Concealed Electric Through-Wire and Monitor Hinges

Pemko aluminum hingesConcealed electric through-wire hinges are a means to transfer electrical power from the power source, through the frame, and into the door and finally to the electrified door hardware.

IVES through-wire hinges provide an aesthetically pleasing power transfer solution without significant door and frame preparation for new construction and retrofit work. Monitor hinges utilize an internal switch to send a signal when the door is opened. Monitor hinges may also be ordered with through-wires to monitor an opening while providing power to electrified locking hardware.
