Project NewsColorado Doorways Featured Project, March 2007 - Carroll Hall Restoration, Regis University Originally built in 1925 by Jesuits, it was very a very simple design built of concrete and brick and serviced as a residence hall and dormitory. Over the years, the living quarters were reborn as offices and administrative spaces. Today, it is home to the Rueckert-Hartman School for Health Professionals. Fresh paint, carpeting, wood trim, lighting and of course new doors encompassed the renovation. Further, window replacement and technology upgrades helped to bring the building up to current life-safety standards. Most interesting of note is that the president's dining room where Pope John Paul II and President Bill Clinton met in 1993 remained largely untouched beyond some basic care. This room has significant historical value and ensuring the building was updated while maintaining its history was a very important aspect. Colorado Doorways could not be prouder to have supplied the doors, frames and architectural hardware for this extraordinary historical project. Product NewsIves Announces Concealed Electric Through-Wire and Monitor Hinges
IVES through-wire hinges provide an aesthetically pleasing power transfer solution without significant door and frame preparation for new construction and retrofit work. Monitor hinges utilize an internal switch to send a signal when the door is opened. Monitor hinges may also be ordered with through-wires to monitor an opening while providing power to electrified locking hardware.
