Project NewsColorado Doorways Featured Project, May 2007 - Isle of Capri Casino Originally built in 1998, the casino was ready to grow and this expansion added 1,200 parking spaces and 164 hotel rooms. The challenge with this project was to build a parking garage, hotel rooms, a 300-seat restaurant, a bar and a casino addition and two enclosed pedestrian bridges without interrupting the operation of the casino. Further complicating matters were the limited amount of space in this mountain gambling town, including a mountain directly behind the casino itself. Colorado Doorways worked with the construction team to overcome these obstacles and helped to provide a greatly enhanced experience for the Isle of Capri's customers. The model 547 is for use with arch top doors or doors using Rixson’s 0608 or 0700 overhead concealed closer. The pivot set includes 2 each M190 side jamb pivots and the 147 bottom pivot. The weight bearing capacity is 500#, door widths up to 40”, height to 90 inches. If you have doors that are taller, they can be accommodated by adding an M190 for every 30”. Real Estate & Construction Review Magazine has created the The Building of America Plaque of Honor. The award names and honors the project managers and owners for their contributions in helping design and build one of the region's 50 most important, innovative or unique new construction or renovation projects. 
LEED is a term that many of our customers are becoming and more and more familiar with. The LEED Green Building Rating System is a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings. Members of the U.S. Green Building Council representing all segments of the building industry developed LEED and continue to contribute to its evolution.
Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. operates 18 casinos that attract more than 23 million visitors annually. The Isle of Capri Casino in Black Hawk is one of Colorado's best casinos and the largest in the state. A recent project made it even larger. 
Not all doors have headers or at least not easily accessible. Rixson now offers a pivot package that comes with two load bearing intermediate pivots and a bottom pivot--no top pivot.
