This certification will be appreciated by architects and contractors who specify green building products for environmentally-conscientious building owners. Chain of custody certification provides a guarantee about the production of FSC-certified products and certifies the path taken by raw materials from the forest to the consumer, including all successive stages of processing, transformation, manufacturing and distribution. Due to tremendous demand, a new facility was needed to ensure those most in need could call upon the service the Ronald McDonald House provides. This new facility in Aurora near the Fitzsimons Medical Campus provides temporary homes for 45 additional families, more than doubling the number of people that can be served. Colorado Doorways' experience in constructing these types of facilities was called upon to ensure the success of this very special project and we are proud to have been a part of it. Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council A.C. (FSC) has granted Colorado Doorways the FSC Chain of Custody Certification. This means that customers can be sure that specified products sold by Colorado Doorways are traceable to responsibly managed forests, and that there are documented controls in place to make sure that the integrity of the environment is upheld. By achieving this milestone and being the first door distributor in the states of Colorado and Wyoming to meet the program’s rigorous requirements, Colorado Doorways continues to remain at the forefront of the door and hardware industry.
